With this upcoming, it made me wonder about a region A friendly standard BD option. Remembered there was an Olive Signature I never owned and a Eureka that works with the top menu trick on any player (one of a small number of titles). Any quality difference between the Eureka MoC BD and the Kino remastered BD? Svet’s review here made comment of the 1080p disc with the Kino having some compression issues?

Interesting. I was just looking at my shelf last week and wondered if I really needed so many copies of High Noon and if the Eureka was worth keeping. I owned the Olive (which I gave away), Olive Signature, Eureka LE, and then the Kino 4K. Surely, I don't need to upgrade the Eureka, right? Ah well, I probably still will.

I found that the original Olive BD had terrible compression issues, but the Olive Signature edition is fantastic. I'd be hard pressed to want to upgrade, but it's such a friggin' masterpiece it's got me thinking.

I'll wait on some comparisons, but certainly the potential is there for a better presentation.

I don't care who encodes it. Just look at that bright yellow box, though!

The art is very unfortunate, especially compared to their BD edition.

Honestly, I've watched their BD recently and thought it looked amazing upscaled on my 4K TV.

I have that same Olive edition and yeah it's beautiful. I suppose it could be improved upon but this one will be hard to top.

I find the Olive Signature to be rather soft and lacking in detail, and prefer the original Olive release despite it being a bit harsh (but only a tiny bit — otherwise it looks good).

The trailer for this new release looks the best that I have seen the film. Really looks perfect — but that is from my computer.

I'm excited about this release, as "High Noon" is my favorite Western, and I plan to get this.

One of the few Kino 4K's I never bought. Don't quite like this one as much as some other classic Westerns from the era, but will be pre-ordering the Eureka. Should be a real nice edition.

I have the kino 4k as well as the eureka masters of cinema hard box blu ray and the olive signature blu ray. I have found nothing wrong with the kino 4k as it was a very nice 4k transfer. I have just about every addition this movie that ever came out including the criterion silver laderdisc.

I am not that big of a fan of this artwork with gary cooper holding two guns blazing in a bright yellow background. Does anyone know what extras are on this that were not on the eueka limited hard box blu ray. That could play the major factor on if I pick this one up. I do not have a huge projecor only a 77 inch lg oled tv.

It looks like this 4k only has 2 new extras compared to the limited blu ray eddition.

Women of the west a feminist aproach to high noon and a new video essay by JE Smith.
