Initially wasn't going to watch the video. Don't know how people still muster enthusiasm for the next movies either.

Not wearing a suit. How much more can you tell me he is irrelevant and doesn't belong? If you think it's because he's still green, you don't understand the times he comes from. He would be a man of taste before becoming 00, and that is of the era. So dumb that they thought what worked for Batman Begins would work for Casino Royale, like James Bond never put on a nice suit before becoming 00, as if it's like Wayne putting on the bat suit for the first time. Nah, Bond wasn't at all cultured and classy before, needed Vesper to show him, bleh. And then in the next movies he wore suits as often as he didn't, and seldom with a bowtie, because he is just that dated and they still won't put him in the 1950s to '60s where he belongs. Too expensive in movies, but achievable in a game. Even in the old movies he didn't wear suits all the time. Obviously depends on the context. But the far reduced frequency is significant.

Girls always combative with his advances now, unable to be vulnerable, to his befuddlement and aggravation, if he tries at all.

So yeah, knew the James Bond-ness of the game would be shit, but I didn't think his lines would be so lame and didn't think they'd be so unimaginative and cowardly with the gameplay too. Despicable as a studio to look at those games they choose to imitate without a critical lens, because their faults are obvious. They really don't give players enough credit, to think driving and platforming have to be so simplistic (Like I said, climbing around on walls like one of the Uncharted monkeys, all of it assisted, because real jumping and climbing mechanics are dead.) and shooting has to be so by the numbers and safe.

I know the lack of shoulder swapping will bother the hell out of me in environments so dense, and sticky cover is a piss-poor substitute.

Crouching doesn't make a person quieter and doesn't make them disappear like these games pretend. It slows the action and just doesn't look good, certainly not something Bond would frequently do. One of those things devs do just because everyone else does it, without even thinking about it. I want it for low cover, accessing low spaces, performing other unarmed attacks and ducking under another's aim, with that being doubly cool if you shoot back while doing so, but the crouch-makes-quiet trope can get ****ed.

Only thing I liked was the gun throw, but I only skimmed through the hand-to-hand fights and sneaking that were after the party, car chase and gunfight with red barrels or equivalent EVERYWHERE.
