Only if WM has it in-stock. I hope you don't mind BB calling to verify, waiting 30mins only for WM employee to pick up and pretend they don't have any (even if they do)... Not worth the headache IMO.

The reason my WM trip took so long was because it was the middle of the night with a lot of shoppers, two lazy cashiers and one had a broken finger haha.. had there been a U-Scan I would be in and out. Finding one at WM at least guarantees you won't walk out empty handed and furious at BB. Plus you don't have to deal with the attitude employees get while PMing.

But finding a copy seems to be a problem all in itself.

I wish good luck to anyone PMing at BB.. I always get the enemy of the state treatment no matter how nice I am. It's not like I am some thug shoplifter haha

Default Got it from AMAZON for $11.49 (w/out tax)

It came yesterday, and I gotta say the VIDEO/AUDIO quality has been pushed all the way...for good. The scene when Jason is on FIRE, literally, the details in color is amazing; the daytime scenes are also almost reference material. As for the night scenes, which is 90 % of the movie, it just does not get any better, I mean that in a good way. I am glad they simply just ported the Special Features from the DVD, now EVERYTHING is on ONE disc, which is great for all you DVD version onwers to upgrade. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase, enough said.

I agree, the day time scenes in front of the school (starting at 25.38) are jaw dropping

It really bugs me how this disc has two non-anamorphic standard-def trailers that plays before the main feature. Having previews in HD is one thing on a Blu-ray disc, but 480i!?

Less disc capacity is used by SD features. I do agree that non-anmorphic 4:3 letterboxed material looks ridiculous, but I don't mind them making their ads in front of the movie take up less disc space.

If it was a movie that was a big deal to see a trailer of it might be different, but as I recall, this BD had nothing of the sort.

I'd rather their ads take up more disc space and actually be in high-definition. For one thing, it makes no sense from a marketing perspective to have extremely ugly looking trailers play. It certainly isn't going to get anyone interested in the content.

I get what you're saying, but I really just don't give a crap about the ads on this particular disc. I love seeing trailers for upcoming releases and things, but Freddy Vs. Jason didn't show me anything I gave a damn about. Let that crap be in SD for all I care. If saving that space allows them more space for the main feature or extras, or even allows them to make the difference between putting it on a single layer or requiring a dual layer, screw those terrible ads.

You know it would just be best if they left the trailers at the beginning out in general! Which is surprising since this was never an issue with Warner/New Line. Used to go straight to playing the movie.

I just received this today and popped it into my PS3. However, what I noticed (And why I'm here) is that this disk seems to cause a quite annoying and audible humming noise from the PS3 during reading. This doesn't happen to any of my other Blu-Ray movies. I don't have tons of them, but I got enough to say that I've tested quite a few and none have the same issue. It was actually a little annoying.

I got the old 60GB PS3, PAL version (But since FvJ is Regionfree that's no issue, imported it from Amazon.com). Anyone else heard about this?

It might be a bad disc. It happened sometime with certain pressings of certain DVD's. I know a rental store near me got a bad batch of The Happening DVD's that sounded like they were grinding inside DVD's players. Try exchanging it.

Sigh...that would be typical. Waited 1 1/2 week to get the movie. Not sure I'm gonna bother though to return it to Amazon. It was watchable, with enough volume I guess I'll live with it. Just hope it's not gonna be any risk for the PS3 to play it.

The DOLBY DIGITAL 5.1EX track from the dvd was equalised specifically for home video use but the TRUEHD track is not, that's why i like the sound better on the dvd
