Default Legend of Zorro to hit Blu-ray on December 11th

http://www.highdefdigest.com/news/sh...s_December/999

Quote:
Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has told retailers to expect a December Blu-ray arrival for the swashbuckling sequel 'The Legend of Zorro.'

The $50 million-grossing follow-up to 'The Mask of Zorro' is currently set to debut December 11, although somewhat surprisingly, at press time the studio had no plans for a companion high-def release of 'Mask.'

Tech specs include Sony's standard 1080p video and uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround audio.

Supplemental details are TBA, but an official press release with full specs is expected sometime in the next couple of weeks.

MSRP has been set at $28.95.

I wish it was the Mask of Zorro- that one was much better.

Much better? The Legend of Zorro is pretty much unwatchable. I couldn't stand it. But Mask of Zorro on the other hand, whew. The sound on there is amazing! I can only imagine what a PCM version would be like.

Heh heh- straight for the jugular. Fair enough- yes the second one down right sucked.

I enjoyed both films, BUT while I'll probably pick this up since i don't own it, I'd much prefer Mask of Zorro hands down.

Ah crap when I read "Legend of Zorro" I got all excited, I mistook it for "Mask of Zorro". Damn Mask of Zorro would be a must have...I don't really want Legend of Zorro...

which brings up the question: why release legend and not mask... why not both? Mask was WAaaay better.

I don't understand why Sony keeps releasing sequels before the originals. Ex: Resident Evil Apocalypse, Underworld Evolution and now this.

I'd agree, I am guessing that they need to clean up the film a bit and want to include some awesome features. I think even the Superbit version had film artifacts all over it if I remember correctly.

Oh, thanks about that, I had forgot, however, I still want both. But I am not going to buy this, just like Resident Evil 2, this is a sequel, and I do not buy sequels first, Underworld 2 was an exception.
