Dimension Films... under The Weinstein Company. They were HD DVD exclusive then stopped a few months ago and stuck to just DVD.

Do you have a source for that info? Halloween is a Dimension/Weinstein film so, if this info is accurate, that would mean that the Weinstein's are now Blu-ray supporters? Or have they always been Blu supporters and have only now revealed release info?

Good movie and a HD-DVD stallwart going to Blu, good news.

Maybe this and other Weinstein movies are why Sony delayed some releases?

Since the Weinstein Co is exclusive to Blockbuster for rentals it was inevitable that they would go blu

yeah but not allowed to reveal it.... I was skeptical at first because weinstein was HD but then I walked into F.Y.E. and they had a big pre-order for halloween on blu so I have two sources now...

Yeah, put the double feature and all of the trailers on a BD-50, and make a real reproduction of the theatrical experience. No need to split them up like on DVD.

I would also like to see Clerks II from Weinstein as well.

Agreed. The remake had no suspense, it did more harm than good to explore Michael Myers on a "deeper" level. Not to mention the massive plot holes. Like how he knew where to find the foster parents and kill them. Oh my, how did he know it was them?

Geez.

Not to mention the trailer trash family of Myers'. Yeech. It was perfectly obvious that the family was an ordinary American family in the original. But in this one, the family is just terrible. Besides Myers didn't kill his father, at least not according to the original. He was sent to the institution following the killing of his sister.

The point is, Michael Myers had no motive. He just kills. That's it.

plus the fact that the girl in this one just did not give off the same feeling as jamie lee... She just did not seem as innocent and like able.

Don't get me started on that one. She was quite mean-spirited in this one.

I love that fans of the original think the above is a positive. I much prefer Zombie's version.

EDIT: Nevermind. Forget I said anything. I like the new one more. The end.

That I'll like to see. I imagine they should be able to do a seamless branching of the two movies if someone want to watch just one without the trailers and all the theatrical presentation styles. But I really enjoyed the original version of Grindhouse. It was quite a ride.

she was a hoe... . the thing that bugged me was the fact that he added so MUCH cursing (The rape scene in the place where michael was being held) that had nothing to do with anything! Then in scene the girl "fingering" the donut make "Noises" and her parents just sit there and laugh! WTF! it was nothing like the other Halloween's.
