The amazon site shows just a pre-order and no longer gives a date. Does anyone know if it is still coming on Oct. 6?

I'm pretty sure it's still on schedule...already have it pre-ordered.

I just checked my Amazon account and it says it is shipping soon.

Every other retailer still has it for Oct 6. Amazon might just be updating their inventory system...

Just as good as teh 1st, imo. I'm hoping it will go on sale before x-mas.

First one is a classic. The sequel is just frustrating because you know it's already happened to Kevin once before. I'm surprised you guys like it so much. Maybe I was too old when I saw the second one and had grown out of it (I'm 30 now).

I thought the first one was charming and the sequel, while still enjoyable, was a bit "mean spirited".

Definitely getting both. Still own them on VHS, time to upgrade haha

Always felt the 2nd was more Christmas oriented than the first and although they both follow the same plot formula to a virtual T the 2nd is funnier and has better traps. I love what Tim Curry brings to it and the ending is better as well.

While the sequel rehashes a lot of the antics from the first film, I've always felt like the second one has more heart because of the bird woman sub-plot. I like the first one more, but the second one touches me on a more emotional level.

the bird woman sub plot was just a rehash of the shovel slayer sub plot, it really wasnt anything new.
aside from that i think the first is a classic and the second is very much worthy sequel. who cares if it isnt that original, its HILARIOUS!
will be picking it up at some point between now and xmas for sure.

Yes, it's still on. We had it in the back room at Best Buy today. Comes out Tuesday, 5.1 DTS-HD MA, 1.85:1, BD-25, Blu-ray elite eco-friendly case. (boo.)
