How many people are gonna buy UT3?

So I was arguing with my friend that because of the cross format available for UT3, that it will sell close to Halo margins...didn't say beat, but it should sell very well. Just want to get a quick pole on here to see who are on here is going to buy it. I wish it would outsell, but i know its wishful thinking.

im getting it for the PC, going to be way better than halo imo, halos been waaaaaay overrated from its first release, personally i think halos crap but yeh

I wanted that game the minute I found out about it. Never played it before and did not even touch a FPS until RFOM.

It just looks great and most of the FPSs on the market use the unreal tool set. And they have made everything better. This will be good the the PS3. We will have keyboard and mouse support and we can play the mods. If you like FPSs and do not buy this one you should do some research and rethink that one.

i think un real will beat it maybe not in the first week or sales but over time(remember those pc gamers have to upgrade :P) and remember so the far there should only be at maximum 10 million halo 3s sold(around 12 million boxes out there) and when u acount for only 24% of x box gammers buy shooters. but over time un real will seel more over its life cycle

I had no interest in acquiring UT3, but I'm set to pick up my copy of Halo 3 this afternoon (don't even own an Xbox 360). It's my understanding that UT3 doesn't have much (if any) single-player gaming to it and online play doesn't really interest me all that much (I don't have the time others do to dedicate to mastering the game and it's not very entertaining to spend most of the game waiting to respawn only to get killed a few seconds later).

I still very much think UT3 could outsell Halo 3 because it's cross-platform. I'm sure there are many people who will pick up UT3 for their PC (or even Macs), but I doubt it will beat Halo 3 until its release on the 360 next year.

I have planned on buying this as soon as I heard it was coming out. Then I heard the PS3 would have keyboard and mouse support which is freaking sweet. And I am crossing my fingers and toes for the cross platform play.

I never understood the Halo hooplah. It is just a overhyped small fish swimming in the pond that was created for the most part by Unreal, Half-Life, and Doom.

I'm getting it the day it comes out. I don't know if it will out sell Halo though. I just don't think that there are enough UT3 fanboys to do that.

I'll be getting this one when it hits the shops. Never played any of the Halo games but I'm going to pick up Halo 3 to see what all the fuss is about.

You can count me in! This title will be a hot one for the PS3. Don't think it will out sell Halo3 though..... at least not this year.

I don't know enough about the UT franchise to want to buy UT3.

If it's a great game that's designed mostly for online play, I'll pass.

If it's a great game with good and long single-player campaign, I might nibble

The cross-platform integration looks awesome. Being able to play with PC players, have even control footing and being able to utilize user-created content is awesome.

It will not be a Halo killer, but there will be very little criticism that an X-Bot can say about UT3 if the PS3 version is even just a close proximation of the PC version.

Totally going to be an awesome game. I just hope there is some sort of original plot put into and some new game mechanics.

i personally think halo is over-hyped....you put this with haze, COD4, assassins creed, ratchet and clank and need for speed prostreet coming this yr and there goes halo IMO.

didnt they say that you wouldnt be able to tell the diff from PC to ps3 graphic wise?? if thats the truth then wow cant wait

i gotta get back into playin. I played religiously when i was a kid (before being a nerd bacame cool, lucky for me ) but it shouldn't be too bad since i can use my trackball and keyboard. Movies3 what part of Kentucky u from?
