LoTR extended cut - Blu-ray Forum

I see that the theatrical cut will be released in BR sometime next year, https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-L...-Blu-ray/5174/ I was wondering whether the 12-disc DVD collection will see a BR release as well, and if so, when.

Peter Jackson has wants to release the EE's on blu. From what I remember most people are anticipating the release a year after the theatricals are released on blu.

While that's not very good news, there is something to look forward to-- apparently there's a good chance that there will be extra footage/scenes included (as a supplement and not part of the movie) that have not been seen before.
