RP (Rogers Plus) has a new trade 2 get either Modern Warefare2 or Assassins Creed2 for free.

not that hot of a deal given nobody is likely to give up nhl10 or unchartered 2 since they prolly just paid 70 bucks for them a few weeks ago. you could do this regularly at bbv and get $40 for each nhl and unchartered and get mod2 for free. points for an interesting spin on the words from rogers....

Anyways yah if you can pick up Godfather2 and 007 for cheap somewhere you could flip it into a new game.

Scored a copy of call of duty for 24.99!! Bought godfather 2 and got Quontom of solace free (buy one game get a 19.99 game free) so traded those 2 and it worked !'

I'd always planned to get my copy this way...bought a new copy of Gears II for $19.99 at FutureShop (sale from @ 2 weeks ago), and I'll be trading my Arkham Asylum with it unless I run across another crazy price for a second game on the list. I'm gonna keep checking the used game prices for the next couple weeks.

how did you do it so early? mw2 doesnt come out until nov 10

EDIT: nevermind, im assuming you did a pre-order...but how much is it to become a "star-rewards" member? it says you have to be one to trade games

i think it's $10? but its worth it IMO i rent and buy from there, you gain points. something like 2 points for every movie/game purchase, 1 point for every rental. hit 10 points get a free rental, 20 points $10 off any purchase

hey guys, it says the offer is valid from nov 10-30...does that mean you can only do this deal from the 10th to 30th? or can only pick up your pre-order in that time?

i know captaincanuck did it already, but could his rogers have done it early by mistake?

Hmm that's weird cause mine it's coming out right at 12am midnight release and they said they will stop preorders the week before

should i ask if their COD promotion is on now and then purchase the games? because im sure that BOGO for used games ends in october...so if its not on now, should i buy those games anyway and wait till the 10th?

well i just called 2 locations

one said they maxed out their pre-orders

another said you can only trade in the 2 games when the game comes out (so nov.10)

so my question is...if i buy 2 games on the eligible list in their BOGO, would they still be eligible titles on nov 10?

asked my boss about the trade2gMW/AC2 free deal, basically you can preorder now by putting $5 down, and then when the game comes out, they refund the 5 and do the trade ins. all games on the list should be valid even in a couple weeks when the game comes out

how did u do it then?

also ill break down star rewards for those that care

price for a year: $10 (5 bonus points for starting*), renewal: $10 and 2 bonus points, or just 15 points(no bonus)
1 point per rental (paid), 2 points per movie purchase (and i think 4 if its a game thats considered a new release)
10p = 1day movie / 3day game
12p = 7day movie / 7day game
20p = $10 off movie / game purchase
2p = $1 of late fees (4=2, 6=3 etc)
also you get points for trade-ins but i cant remember if its 1 or 2

also when u do game trade ins at rogers, u need 2 pieces of ID. if you already have Star Rewards, that will count as the 2nd piece.

*there are deals with tradeins and getting SR free with something like 20points, and atm we're not sure if u get 25 or just 20.

im about to head to work so ill edit this post a bit when i get home.
