2 of the films listed are in English, 28 Days Later is a UK film and Wolf Creek is Australian.

However, High Tension is indeed in French. Czar watched it dubbed. He's mentioned in other threads he doesn't like reading subtitles.

I just saw Amelie today, very disappointed. I honestly felt no connection to any of the characters and I didn't really care for Amelie and there were too many moments that came off in the film that the characters were sociopaths LOL. I could understand why one would like it because people would feel the same about another film I did like, The Science of Sleep.

Ah did you? Is it even considered foriegn though even a majority of it is in french? It's weird because Gael García Bernal is Mexican and a slowly becoming popular in Hollywood and Michel Gondry is quite popular as well. Not too sure but what ever, hopefully this gets a blu release soon.

High Tension is a French movie with Cecile De France, he probably saw the dub version, I saw one dub for The Movie Network in Canada but the original language is French

Jhiggy,

In case it matters (it doesn't really) In The Mood For Love is the middle part of a very loose trilogy (the first part being Days of Being Wild, and the third part being 2046).

I hadn't seen any of the others, and jumped right in with ITMFL, but now I want to see 2046 (aside from it being a very loose sequel, it seems like an interesting movie).

The director, Wong Kar Wai, is somewhat known for not really using scripts for his movies. I don't know exactly how he does it, but I think he has somewhat of a story sketched out, and then feeds it to his actors a scene at a time, but relies on them improving significant amounts of the scenes.

I got Chungking Express in the mail on Saturday, so I'll be watching that tonight (another Kar Wai movie, from '94).

Do you mean the majority of the film is in English, even though French and Spanish are also spoken? I think that's what you meant.
In any event, it is indeed a French film by french director, Michael Gondry. It seems France & Italy are credited as joint countries in the production.

No no no, I meant that I thought it was more of a film from Hollywood but it doesn't matter. ANd I just realized Stephanie was that Antichrist/musician chick Charlotte.

Thank you for the information....I had planned on watching 2046 for awhile, so it is nice to know it is part of a "loose trilogy".

I have also wanted to see Chungking Express and was going to pick it up the other day but didn't...let me know how it is.

Eh, it's got excellent cinematography and it's filmed quite well but that script is such a bore. The love story is ridiculous.

How about 'Shadow of the vampire'.Think it was one of Malkovich stronger roles, and loved the cinematography there.DeFoe was brilliant also, and story was one of the more original takes on dracula.

I own this on DVD. It's more of a take of the filming of Nosferatu, but nice to see that the actor cast as Nosferatu, was indeed the legend. Dafoe was brilliant.

Do believe it was a US film though. Not 100% sure though.
