No, so I wouldn't expect them to be put to Blu-ray anytime soon.

I am a big DuckTales fan and would love to see the series on BD!

Back when DT was announced for DVD; it was around the same time BD and HD-DVD were announced. Which made me wonder, why bother getting the series released on DVD if a new format is coming?

And yet, Disney has not released the remaining episodes (and not to mention that no extras nor remastered image).

I'd definitely be down for Talespin and Chip 'n' Dale's Rescue Rangers... those shows were my JAM back in the day. Duck Tales would be fun to acquire, too, though it is on a rung below those two. Let's throw Darkwing Duck into the mix, also!

I've been looking Chip 'n' Dale animated shorts this morning. These must be my favorite cartoons. It's high time Disney started releasing some of its animated shorts on Blu. I'm gonna check Talespin and DuckTales as well, you guys seem pretty enthusiastic about them

Agreed. However, I doubt we will see these anytime soon. Disney seems to largely ignore the classic animated shorts these days. They show them now on Disney channel either cut up to about 2 minutes long or put obnoxious commentary over them meant to be humorous to anyone under nine. All the titles in the Walt Disney Treasures series are of course out of print and Disney is not continuing the series. It was ten years ago that the series was started, so I think it's about time for a rerelease of some kind, particularly on Blu.

As for the tv shows, I was never a huge fan. Ducktales in particular, paled in comparison to the Carl Barks comics.

I've never seen them. Well, it's hard to match anything done by Barks or Rosa.

This thread is the epitome of wishful thinking, eventhough I loved all of these shows.

But its up to us to prove there is a demand for them.

All five of us.

Ducktales was a really good TV Show, but I don't think the series will ever get a Blu-Ray Release, Disney never released Volume 4 with the last 25 Episodes on DVD.

There were people who complained about the Picture Quality of the first three volumes, but who knows if Disney still has the film negatives of the episodes, without those you can't make new HD Transfers.

I have also always liked Ducktales The Movie: Treasure Of The Lost Lamp. I hope that the DVD hasn't gone Out Of Print, it is still available as a reward with Donald Duck in Mathmagic Land on Disney Movie Rewards for 1200 Points, I think you can still buy it from Disney Movie Club too.

I am actually hoping that Aladdin, the TV Series gets released. If not blu then it needs a DVD release!

I would buy DuckTales in an instant, but like others have said, I doubt it will happen anytime soon. And if it does happen, whether Disney would do it properly is another matter, and by that I mean remastered image, sound, and complete season box sets with correct episode order! I never bought the DVDs as I heard they were a complete mess.

Disney may not have the original film negatives of the episodes of Ducktales, you can't make new HD Transfers without the original film negatives. They wouldn't be able to make the sound any better because Ducktales was originally recorded in Mono, however they did switch to Stereo in 1989.

I don't think that the Ducktales DVDs were a complete mess. Yeah the quality wasn't perfect but it was good enough for a show from the late 1980's/1990. The only drawback that bothered me was that there were no special features, but there are many TV Shows on DVD that don't have special features.

I think Disney should release Volume 4 to get the last 25 episodes on DVD so the complete series can be available to purchase. There are other TV Shows on DVD that had a few seasons released, then they released the rest of the seasons a few years later.
