Default Anchor Bay's VRS processing chip vs Panasonic Unipher processor chip

I currently have the panny bd-50 bitstreaming audio to a denon reciever. I love the denon reciever but here lately the panny has been slow to load and very frustrating. with that in mind i was looking at a denon 2010ci. I have never had a denon blu-ray player but i do know of the issues with in the early development that supposedly firmware updates resolved, i.e. freezing up. how about the video chip as compared to the panny unipher. is it a better chip or to minut to even worry about in the decision making? oppo is not an option sorry. lol nothing personal but i would like to keep the astetic appeal and brand of the denon if i decide to change out the player. no haters please! hehe

I think you will enjoy the Denon 2010. I think, if any difference, the ABT would be slightly better than Panasonics chip, for DVD. (Keeping in mind, this ABT chip is not the top of the line ABT2010 chip. Rather the ABT1030).

I just bought the Denon 1610 a month ago, or so. I have a video processor (DVDO Edge) and didn't need the ABT chip that the Denon 2010 offers. I'm happy with the Denon. I updated the firmware immediately. No issues at all, so far.
