Smile Gentlemen, Please help a desperate husband find wife-approved surrounds!!!

please help!!

My wife and I are about to close on a condo...and i'm most excited about the home theatre I'll be installing in the living room, of course.

My plan so far was the energy take 5 system + svs cylinder sub (nsd model).
The amp would be either Pioneer or Onkyo, depending on what I find at the time of purchase.

Now the challenge is that she does NOT like the black speakers!! she wants wood, silver, or "pretty" fronts/center/surrounds.

As I got her to agree to my amazing sub, I feel I can only do all I can to comply with her only request to buy "pretty" speakers.

I have a budget of $200 for those speakers. they have to be small, nothing floor standing. Used or new, I don't care... she just wants something pretty. I of course, want something that sounds good (hence energy take 5).

Please help gentlemen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thank you so very much

Well I was gonna suggest the Polks in cherry but you seem to not want floor standing models...so take a look at these book shelf ones if you will...

I have a couple of the Orb Audio speakers. I think she'll approve of them. Paired with a good sub you'd be happy too.

Both of the above are correct. I also recommend the cherry Polks, but eliminating black also eliminates ALOT of options, which means you may have to spend more than $200 for 5 speakers.

You should also look into Paradigm, but again, I doubt you'll find what you're looking for for $200.

To your girlfriend I would say...if you want pretty, like a nice wood finish or something....you're going to have to spend more money.

If she wants pretty then here you go
Klipsch WB14

I almost forgot about the center channel
Klipsch WB24

Vanns has them in that color:
WB-14
WC-24

Wife, good sir, wife. Otherwise, she wouldn't have this kind of authority

Kef makes high quality speakers, they are great both for music and esp. movies. Try these in Walnut. I think they are awesome looking.

Of course if you like the Energys, these in Cherry would be nice, They are small you may need to get a raincheck on the Center, I would call Vanns and ask them if they would raincheck the price of the center for you. Or Just get 5 identical speakers which is always a great way to go too.

Here are Jamo speakers in Dark Apple. Another great wood color. Jamo is a very large speaker mfg in europe and are originally Danish speakers, and the Danes are known for making some of the finest speakers out there. The C series is a higher end speaker then the S series.

Both Energy and Jamo (as well as Mirage) are owned by Klipsch, I am very interested in the Jamo stuff because I really like the Looks of them. They are resonably priced and Because I fell in love with the Dali's I also want to hear the C series Towers as possible replacement one day for my beloved Energys.

These x2 (way out of budget and you need a center)

These x5 (a little cheaper)

Good looking bookshelves cost a bit extra.
