wife approved speaker purchase - Blu-ray Forum

Hi all,
I was just toying with the idea of upgrading my speakers. On Newegg.com they had Polk Monitor 30 bookshelf, Monitor 50 floorstanding and CS1 center. all in Cherry finish, 5 speakers for 399.99, no shipping, no sales tax. The wife was baking and I'm going back and forth trying to decide and she says" Just order them, you know you want em", so I ordered them. Man I love this woman. She Rocks.....

I have to add something. After reading what I posted, I realized I needed to specify further. I was the one trying to decide whether or not to buy the speakers and she ordered me to buy them. You can't argue with that.

Congrats on the purchase. Your theater has such an ecclectic look to it. You will definitely hear an improvement in the audio experience with the new, larger Polk Audio speakers as opposed to your current satellite speaker system (which looks like the Polk RM6750 system). Dialog intelligibility through the CS1 center channel will be one of the largest betterments.

I will always choose my speakers over my wife, the speakers only put out beautiful sound i can't say the same thing about her.

Congratulations! I see you have what looks like a Coaster Promenade sectional. If so, you should have a look at the amp I installed in mine to power some Bass Shakers. Very easy install, and it doesn't take much power to get that particular sofa really vibrating due to the way it's made.

What are you talking about? Have you seen my home theater? Of course I married the right woman! As a matter of fact, I married the perfect woman. She enjoys all of my electronic toys as much as I do. I just tend to discuss things with her prior to purchasing to avoid any misunderstandings. Oh, by the way, she wants the new harmony remote with the giant touch screen for Christmas.
