Played all types of games in the 80s all the way to 2004. Stopped playing games 2004-2008.

Bought a PS3 late 2008 and been playing one video game since..

Been gaming since the early Atari's came out and haven't stopped yet. I honestly see this continuing until I physically cannot work a controller (and by then, it'll all be controlled by your mind anyway).

I really started to get into gaming around the nintendo 64 and the first playstion came out. I played super nintendo but I was too young to really say I was a "gamer". Mario 64 and the first metal gear for ps1 were my first real gamer experience. I also played Sheng Mu on the dreamcast. By the way where is Sheng Mu 2???

You mean Shenmue?

If that's the case, Shenmue 2 was released on Dreamcast in Japan, but only on Xbox (the original one, not 360) in the US.

Shenmue 3 has been canceled and un-canceled a few times over the years, but I think for the last couple of years it's been in the canceled phase again. There's always a slim chance it might happen some day, I'm just not counting on it.

If you're really talking about a game named Sheng Mu, then forget everything I just wrote.

since Colecovision, buddy. Well, mid 80's really, with the NES. That's where it all started. Super Mario Brothers was the gateway drug. I'm 29 now and I still play games here and there, but my tolerance for super long games is very thin now, and I can only play an hour or two at a time, WHEN I have time. But I can still see myself playing games well into my 50's, especially if I have children at some point.

like many of you, I was addicted to gaming even before the vcs2600. I went from atari vcs2600/starpath to Colecovision, Vetrex, Vic20, C-64, Amiga 1000/2000, nintendo, Sega Master system, Turbograph 16/ portable, Genesis/sega cd/sega32, 3DO, Snes, Sega Saturn, Atari Jaguar, Dreamcast, Lynx, Gameboy 3d, playstation, xbox, ps2, ps3(I only bought this for blu-ray)...various PC's.....you name it I had. Now that I'm older, I can't stand playing video games anymore, mainly because I don't have the patience for it anymore. I seldom play Arcade Emulators.

My dad had the pong setup, but I wasn't really a gamer until the Atari 2600. I made it through Sega Genesis, Nintendo and all versions of the PlayStation. I am not that hardcore any more, mainly because there isn't much new stuff coming out. So many games are just repeats of the same old FPS. I don't care about aliens, zombies or any other supernatural predator, so they don't hold a lot of interest for me. I am giddy like a kid about COD MW2 though.

I guess it might depend on the definition of gamer, but I have been playing electronic games since they more or less first appeared and I gues I will never stop. Now if you mean playing hours on end everyday, who has time for that any more.

Been a gamer since I was around 5 years old. Started with Atari; followed by Nintendo, Sega Genesis, Super Nintendo, N64, Sony Playstation, PS2, and now PS3. Probably game till I am 6 feet under. Hope there's gaming in heaven.

I kind of look forward to the day when we're all still gaming in our 70's and rolling into GameStop on our hoverounds to pick up a game at midnight.
