Default The official CSI series thread: From Vegas to New York

What's your take on the series? Does anyone here watch one of the 3?

I just started on the series with re-runs on spike.

I love CSI: Miami and New York. I can't quite get into the original for some reason. I've been giving it more airtime though because of Lawrence Fishbourne. I'm also excited about the crossover event this week, so I'm watching all three of them!

I watch NY as it airs every so often. The other two are at bad times for me. But I'm excited for the crossover event.

I seem to recall a very similar, if not identical, thread. Oh well, CSI: NY for me, that was easy. Vegas was it for a while, NY though has the more engaging characters and likeable. I hated Sarah from Vegas to the point she almost ruined the show. And I just don't like Miami but I like what they're doing this week and would be watching if the game wasn't on. But it's being DVR'd.

I used to watch all three, but Miami got too ridiculous, and the original lost like half its cast in one season. Now I only tune in occasionally.

EDIT: And why is Laurence Fishburne's character the one who's going to be working with the other two agencies in the three-city cross-over? It's not like he's the supervisor; he's the lowest guy on the totem pole!

I watch the original only. I can't stand David Caruso on Miami and have never been able to get into CSI: NY. To be honest though, I never gave it a fair shot.

haha sorry to say csi fans i cringe at any of these shows and their completely unrealistic portrayal of criminal investigations. and for some reason i can't stand david caruso. those shows have mucked with our judicial system, leaving juries with unrealistic expectations of forensic science and the telepathic prophetic abilities all investigators are supposed to have.

This is true, but it can also be said about many, many other TV shows and films. I watch it for it's entertainment value.
