So I've seen the first four episodes of this and I ...don't really know how to feel about it.

The things I like:

I like that he's kinda shaking up the way things are done. Bringing a fresh outlook to a stereotypically blase atmosphere.

Chris Vance is a likeable actor, and I enjoyed him on Prison Break, although he has his accent here, and he definitely shows more emotion here (mainly enthusiasm).

I like Anabella Sciorra from other projects and she's good in this, I guess.

Things I didn't like:

His whole act where he smiles damn near 98% of the show is getting annoying. At first it was kinda amusing now it's just past time to get over that little quirk, please.

Virtually the entire cast is just passable. I like the guy who plays the ...assistant doctor or whatever. The guy who the head guy wants to snitch on Jack. I don't know his name (or any of their names now that I think about it.)

The other members of the show don't really seem to have anything to do beyond stand there and react to Vance.

The cases are sometimes ridiculous even by Fox TV Medical Shows standards that House blew out of the water.

It was nice to see David Carradine one last time in what I assume is the last TV guest spot he did before he died.

I liked the guy who played the father in this last episode, who's kid was trapped in a video game of sorts.

In fact, the guest stars have been the best thing about this show so far. lol

Anyone else watching? I'll probably keep watching, mainly because it's the summer and there's only a few shows that I follow this time of year (Burn Notice, In Plain Sight, True Blood and a few others).

It better get better though.

BTW: was I the only one who thought Vance might actually have a mental disorder of his own when it comes to "Becky"? If the phone wasn't ringing I would have thought she was all in his head, but we actually saw her (from the back anyway at a payphone) last episode.

I like how he immediately said "there's probably people around here that think I'm crazy". lol

I agree with your overall assessment of the show. I missed a couple of shows but did watch last nights and felt it was a bit more interesting with how they were handling the lawyer.

[Show spoiler]Had me fooled the entire time until she kept having double vision.

I don't know that spoilers are needed for a show that probably few have on DVR and doubful there will be any reruns. Unless there is going to be a real point to the one character's cheating on her husband I think that whole line should be downplayed a lot more.

Right after she left and Jack said "Did we just have a breakthrough?"

And then I was proven right. It was a shocker for me to be right. lol

WOW.

So I'm watching episode 8 right now, and this show BLATANTLY ripped off the very best episode of Law & Order: SVU entitled "Identity".

I mean there's so many nearly DIRECT lifts from that episode that it's embarrassing.

Entertaining, nonetheless, but still....wow.

Don't feel interested by this show but who knows, maybe in the future. Some good shows I did not watch at first and later on caught interest.

If this gets renewed, I'll be shocked. It's an interesting show, and it keeps my attention. But I realize it's not very good.
