Unhappy I'm soooo Worried ... Please Help!

I use a Sony VAIO notebook to watch Blu-Ray movies and the blu-ray drive (Matshita brand) is 2x speed.

Recently, I've ordered "The Day After Tomorrow" Blu-Ray disc from Amazon and it'll take quite some time before I receive it. I've heard that this disc has a very high bit rate of 49 mbps, not to mention that it's a BD+ disc.

Now I'm so afraid that my notebook's blu-ray drive might not be able to support the reading of this disc due to the high bit rate and BD+. What should I do? I need answer. Please, somebody. Can a 2x blu-ray drive read such high bit rate?

What's the maximum bit rate a blu-ray disc can go?

"I swear to God that if my notebook fails to play Day After Tomorrow, I'd turn to the dark side & support HD-DVD, muahahahah!"

If it's a new notebook you should be o.k. The issue is more of a bandwidth(processor) issue, rather than drive speed.

Wait a sec... it's 49 Mbit/s? isn't the spec of BD limited to 48 Mbit/s for Audio/Video? (source Wikipedia)

My notebook's processor speed is Core 2 duo 2.2 GHz, enough to play "Day After Tomorrow" at such high bit rate?

I understand that, but will that pose compatibility problems?

the only thing i could recommed is to refer to the system manaul. contact support, which is a process of about 10 mins to find out whether it would a problem or not. the customer support number is 1-888-476-6972. or refer to this link:

i thougth someone already mention bd movie is play @ 1.6x speed.
loading bd+ disc is also taking longer time in standalone player, so it's normal.
