One PS3/PS4 game that is a MUST for people who love good graphics

SSX snowboarding... Its a little fake and doesnt have the realism of some other Boarding games, but even on my hdtv running off my ps2 this game still looks like a ps3 game in parts.. Such smooth graphics and such great color and detail..


Anyone hear of anything on a next gen SSX?

You're right. If there's one thing that's sorely missing on PS3 it's a good snowboarding game. Shaun White was mediocre. I'd like to see something along the lines of Amped, SSX Tricky (my fave), or a new take on Cool Boarders.

You'd think ESPN would have some sort of X-Games title by now, or there'd be a Dew Tour game... we need extreme sports!

That said, I also wouldn't mind a remake of Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, which is, IMO, the best skateboarding video game ever made, and has one of the best soundtracks ever.

coolboarders imo never made it to the level of ssx..

The graphics on ssx were beyond 99% of anything else on ps2.. And didnt have the tricky stunts

Cool Boarders was the first game I got for my PS1. I remember spending hours with it. I don't remember if it was Cool Boarders 1 or 2, but I remember you could unlock this alien character that snowboarded on a UFO. Man, he could do so many rotations when he got in the air it was ridiculous.

i would also say madden, but if a game is produced on ps3 & 360....we basically get a 360 game ported.

one day (praying) developers will make games for the better system then 'port what they can' to the weaker system ala genesis/snes days

i loved playing cool boarders 2 on the playstation, one of my favorite games, i loved creating my own board designs, so much fun! then unlocking the alien dude and his circle board that did some insane spins, i think i may at one point have done a 3600 degree spin, and yes, i did mean to put 2 zeros there

I've done that on Tony Hawk but if I landed it that would've been awesome.

the only good snowboarding games I have played are 1080 on the n64 (on top 10 list of favorite games) and 1080 Avalanch on the Gamecube.

SSX 2 was the best game in the series and I'd LOVE to see a special edition made for PS3 via PSN - I really think there is a lot of scope for classic PS2 games to be given an HD overhaul. That said, I have an original PS3 and I'm pretty sure it plays via backwards compatability

I have heard that a new SSX game might be on the cards though; EA have been doing a lot of internal reviewing recently and this generation hasn't been their most successful so I think they are looking at reviving older franchises in the hope of bigger sales - Medal of Honor is another franchise that might make a return.

Another game I'd like to see given the PS3 treatment is War of the Monsters
