United Kingdom South Park Season 13 - March 29

It's funny when I remember all those years when UK was so far behind on US releases of South Park, and now this got release date in UK while there's no information about US release, although I suspect it will be announced in a few days too.

So are people really eager to see this in HD? I can't imagine ever wanting a cartoon on Blu-Ray.

Is there much improvement over the DVD? Just curious.

I noticed a slight difference between SD and HD, nothing to write home about though

Hey,

can anyone with the UK BD of South Park Season 12 tell me what subtitles it has? Does it have "normal" English subtitles or SDH?

Thanks in advance!!!

Question

Just a question here:

What's the deal with the UK-version being 1080i and thrown onto 3 25GB-discs,
as opposed to the US-version being 1080p on 2 50GB-discs.

The difference in the discs doesn't matter, but it is more annoying to have multiple.
Just a minor issue though.

But if it's really 1080i, I'm afraid I'll have to import, cause you CAN see interlacing.
No matter how much people say there's no difference in quality.
I see it on TV, I see it on some BDs, such as certain live concerts as they tend to do them interlaced.
Why that is, I don't know, but it doesn't help the image.

Well, perhaps it might be different in 'South Park' with the way it's made.
Or it might even show up more cause it's such a clean image...

I had no idea there are differences between UK and US editions. I thought they are the same.

Hm, maybe the info on the US-release of Season 13 is incorrect.
I only just found that the US-release of Seasons 12 is also indicated as 1080i.
Could be they're all 1080i and it's all the same.

Both the US and UK Season 12 is 1080i on 3 BD25 discs

The Us Season 13 is 1080p and I would presume the UK version is likewise

The UK version is in 1080p & on 2 discs also, so no need to worry about that.

Could anyone here who has South Park: Season 13 (and/or Season 12) confirm what the packaging is like?
Is it a normal cardboard sleeve/box over one standard Blu-ray case or?

And for those who own both seasons currently out on Blu-ray, do they both use the same packaging?

They are both cardboard foldouts inside a card slip. but season 13 is actually taller than season 12 and has a thinner spine as it's only 2 discs. I can try to put some pics up later if needed.

Interesting... here in the U.S. the blu ray of season 13 is the same height as season 12 but it's WAAAY thinner... then season 14 goes back to being as thick as all the rest... it looks pretty stupid in the collection this way lol... i rather have it the UK way where it's a LITTLE BIT thinner even though it's way taller hahaha... The DVD versions are all very consistent so if the way it looks on your shelf becomes more important than picture/sound quality, you could always do that lol.... almost makes me want to get the DVDs for their cases and then swap out the discs with blu rays. hahaha
