What about casino royale is worth a double dip?

Only one i have come across is fifth element since i bought the original crappy transfer first. Beyond that until they decide to upgrade the hddvd ports to lossless i got none i can think of.

The Casino Royale collector's edition has a bunch of special features absent from the regular release, most of which are very interesting, so I would says definately worth a double dip for the big Bond fan.

As far as I know for Cars, the new one just comes with an SD DVD and some toys, not really worth it IMO.

Full Metal Jacket, the second transfer is big upgrade. Superman Returns, the audio upgrade on the second release is a must

Thats what i was thinking, just wanted to confirm if it was just extra stuff or not.

Full metal jacket falls into that category, with fifth element, where they got horrible transfers, luckily people cried out and the studios responded with very nice remasters fast.

Really not much changes audio wise that i know of, short of the few movies that didn't get lossless audio in the first place... a few blu's and a lot of hddvd ports. But usually the re-release, might change for instance the lpcm track for a dolby or dts HD track. But those are all the same thing, so while i am sure some fall for that and buy it, really it is just saving them disc space to put more extra's in.

No Movie is worth double dipping! I have grown tired of this Hollywood trend!!
But we are held hostages to this practice because they find and know many ways of suckering us to bite!!
I bite on,

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN, and will get every,
ULITIMATE EDITION of HARRY POTTER!

Will not get,
CARS

Many movies are not considered a double dip to me but to many others they are because they bite when Blu-ray was introduced! Way too many titles that will be Re-released soon like,

GOODFELLAS, which I never purchased on Blu-ray! I think there are about 200 titles just prime for a Re-release!!!

You can double dip on Casino Royale if you want to. But don't bother with double dipping on Cars.

From the looks of it, it is the same Blu-ray Disc as before but now with a DVD and two collectable cars. There are reports that this pressing does have new previews but everything is the same: menu, audio, extras.

I double dipped on Casino Royale. The PQ is much better on Blu. No contest.

if the review of the flick is good, and you like the movie enough to buy it twice (4 or 5 times for some of us on here hehe) then buy it.

From BRD to BRD, I've only doubledipped once: 300 to 300: The Complete Experience and will probably do it again when the Coraline Gift Set is released.

I haven't double dipped on Blu-rays yet. I wait for the improved versions to be released. I did this with Terminator 2, Superman Returns, Stargate & The Fifth Element( currently awaiting a Gladiator remaster ).
