Sorry if this is the wrong place to post but it seemed suitable.
Just wondering if anyone has had to deal with a broken LCD with with an extended warranty and the company has NOT ok'd a repair. What's next? good or bad experiences? Short version is my less than 2 yr old Sony XBR4 is dying, Company said that repair would not be "cost effective" and that they would contact me within 5 business days with "repair options". That has me worried. Can anyone shed some light on this? If they offer me a check, which is what I really hope for, will it be insanely less than what I paid originally for my TV or will it at least be acceptable? I've also heard stories of possible replacement TV's being offered, but of a lesser quality. Stories or experiences would be greatly appreciated. |
