Default extended cuts good; seamless branching, bad

I love long extended cuts of films. I hate seamless branching and you should too. Here's why.

Look at the LOTR extended cuts. They actually rescored the music to match the extended cut (otherwise the music would have to repeat or otherwise just wouldn't fit cinematically). With seamless branching such beautiful rescoring is not possible.

So, everyone please do not ask for seamless branching; ask for extended cuts. That's one good thing about studios 2x-dipping. Then there's a better chance that the 2nd dip will be a true, rescored extended cut rather than a butchered seamless branching version (and then ppl who like the theatrical version can just buy it on the 1st dip)
