Superman II is listed by imdb as a 1980 movie because of the following release dates:

Australia - 4 December 1980
France - 9 December 1980
Norway - 9 December 1980
Spain - 11 December 1980
Argentina - 25 December 1980

Source: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0081573/releaseinfo

Those all seem like 1980 dates to me. So I am keeping Superman II on my 1980 list

You are not sure what you are talking about The Long Good Friday was released i n the USA in 1982. Check imdb.

You cannot have it both ways...You disqualify Superman II because (even though several countries had the movie released in 1980,) it did not get a US release until 1981.

Then in the same breath you allow "Long Good Friday" which was not released in the US until April 2, 1982.
