what are some good racing movies on blu-ray I could buy for my dad he likes nascar so yeah.

Do you think he'd like Ronin? It is not a racing movie at all, but it does feature two excellent and fairly long car chase scenes. A good "guy" movie, and it is well-priced.

Days of Thunder should be your number one choice... TD is alright as well but not that great IMO... and maybe throw in Death Race (fun film, not great by anymeans though)

Not movies, but there is Super Speedway, semi-documentary with Mario Andretti. Also Top Gear - Polar Special available at Amazon.co.uk for about $15 shipped.

Death Race 2000, bring on the blu! All DVD versions are now currently OOP!

Viva Las Vagas has some nice race scenes in it, and it looks great on blu!

That would be my suggestion. I love this movie, but make sure it's the original. Then again the 1997 remake will probably never make it to BD now that I think about it. I also love Days of Thunder but it's not a good transfer and really isn't much of an improvement over the DVD. If you get it make sure you don't pay too much.

Smokey and the Bandit would also be awesome, but only the first. Sadly it's only on HD-DVD and DVD.

Speed Racer is a great Racing movie. Why?

It's about family and Racing!!!

Also I would recomend Dale Sr. Documentary! BOOM!
