Well DAT now also works but very slow load times. 2+mins.

Just timed it 1:47 sec to FBI warning.

Don't suppose you have any other slow loading movies (e.g. POTC, Underworld) that you can time? Just wondering if there has been any general improvements made or just fixes for FF2 and DAT.

Both the POTC movies are right at 1 min. That is to the WD logo of the previews not the loading of the key or the coin.

Not entirely. There are reports that 28 days is now not working. Will probably pick up a copy today and try it.

Yeah some knucklehead at the other site said it takes months for a firmware update for BD and only days for the red ant players. Right after I enlightened the poster to the Truth, the thread was closed !

What a bunch of dirtbags.

link ?

One poster originally claimed it (28 weeks) didn't work, only to come back later and say it did !

Did you mean 28 days or 28 weeks ?

Does the firmware update address any other issues?

Thanks!

DTS bitstream apparently now works. Jury's still out on 24p lipsynch and 4:3 aspect. If no one else reports, I'll advise later when I download.

Edit: 4:3 is not fixed. Someone with a 24p display will need to comment on whether or not the 24p lip synch issue has been corrected.

Page 45 of the manual.

One post elsewhere that 28 weeks later did not play and later did. We'll need more reports to be sure, but I'd be surprised if the fix didn't enable all current titles.
