Default 3-D noob

So with all the talk of 3D this 3D that will I need a 3D television to watch a 3D movie when the Tvs/Players come out or just a player and a TV?
because I badly need a TV and wonder if I could go get one or wait for 3D?

I would wait. there are already on the market some 3D ready TVs but I think it worth it to wait 6 months (or so) for others to make sure they can play real 3D

I honestly wouldn't wait, as those out in the next year will be extremely expensive and I believe will also require a new player. Buy a good tv now (the samsung led lcds are very nice). Also at 32" 3d probably will not work all that will, it is best suited to large dislays (generally only attainable using front projection).

Well, I wouldn't wait, but I also wouldn't break the bank getting the best tv around as in around two to three years you will probably want to upgrade to 3d. I would look at something like a led vizio (the other vizio's have been bad, but this one is one you should check out given the price).

Don't know what he has (as a player) but the PS3 is supposedly 3D compatible, so if that is what he has then he might be OK on the player front. As for TVs there are already some 3D ready TVs out there, now there might be better ones, and it is still unsure how 3d ready they are (which is why I said wait) but they are not much more expensive. I doubt the newer ones will be much more expensive. As for display size it is completely unimportant for 3D. On the other hand new features do tend to start off on fancier sets and then trickle down.
