According to this trailer for Cabin Fever II, the blu-ray release the first Cabin Fever will be, for the first time ever, the unrated director's cut.

According to IMDB, there are some substantial differences. A few minutes of gore were cut from the theatrical cut, but several scenes are omitted from the theatrical cut and different ones added to the director's cut. Wonder if the blu-ray will have both cuts.

This was a very disappointing movie and I hate that the director, Eli Roth, has become a somewhat big director because of this and "Hostel" which is even worse.
I liked the premise and the environment, but in the end, it just didn't deliver what I was hoping for. |

All this time the Lionsgate DVD has been on my shelf and its cut? I didn't realize untill this thread. IMDB.com mentions it was cut for the US, does that mean its 'uncut' elsewhere? I will have to buy the Aussie doublepack BD if so.

With the exception of Hostel: Part II, I love all of Roth's work. Considering this is a Lionsgate release, there's a huge percentage that the BD will be available for $10 or under on or quickly thereafter it's release date. If that's the case, I'm sold.

I'm just curious, for the people who said they prefer Hostel 1 to Hostel 2, why do you like it better? I prefer Hostel 2 because in Hostel 1 you couldn't see the torture. You either saw dead bodies, someone's back as they were being tortured, or you saw it right after it happened. Any thoughts?

Cabin Fever was one of those horror movies that I did enjoy and cant wait to get my hands on when it comes out on Blu. As for Hostel and Hostel 2? Gory as heck but I love em and when they come out on Blu I will get those as well.
