New info from ResetMag.com:

Quote:

Basically says that it'll be in 1.33:1, there'll be a DTS-HD MA 7.1 track for English and a DTS-HD HR 7.1 track for French and subs for those two languages. Commentary by Pete Docter
Deleted scene
Exclusive song
Making of
Featurette on the Disneyland ride
Creating the sound of Dumbo
Television presentation by Walt Disney back from then
Trailers from 1941 to 1949
Cine Explore function
Photo gallery
Exclusive featurette
Two short films ("The Flying Mouse" and "Elmer the elephant"
- translated those myself, dunno if it's the original names)
A selection of interactive games
And finally, a DVD copy of the film

On a sidenote, they tell us that Sleeping Beauty will be taken off shelves on January 15th, only to reappear in 2015.

For the few ones enjoying this feature, the Disney View mode has been designed this time around by James Coleman (the previous ones were done by Toby Bluth, who I suspect is presently working on Fantasia).

I actually enjoy this feature as it doesn't bother me visually and it looks better than the black bars on either side!

I sincerely hope that the release doesn't get pushed back another year like the US Version! I have this one as a pre-order for months now & my daughter won't be able to wait any longer!

That one year pushback in the States is really puzzling, but Amazon FR are still maintaining their preorders for February 17th (March 11th and March 22nd in DE and UK respectively). Hopefully they know better than we do!

Dumbo arrived this morning in my mailbox, yeehaaa :b

Although it's my least favorite of the Golden Five, this BD edition looks gorgeous. Region B, but French and English subtitles. The nice DisneyView feature was handled by Disney Fine Art painter James Coleman, and somehow it suits the circus/theater mood very well. As for the DisneyBDLive option, not sure why they keep adding it since it's not enabled in Europe...

As for the previews...

Fall 2010: Beauty and the Beast. I have to say the film looks strangely dated for me now (the style reminds me of the early 1970s, and the CG is obviously a bit basic), but the transfer seems absolutely flawless.

I was looking for this title yesterday but my store hadn't received them yet. Glad to hear it has indeed come out! Shame about the slipcover, guess I'll have to wait and get an import at some point.

Watched it with my daughter & I have to say that it is beautifully restored and the DisneyView Feature is very discrete as with Disney's previous releases! It is a definite upgrade to any dvd edition!
