USA Miracle On 34th St. (1947) packaging corrected!

There is now a corrected packaging of "Miracle of 34th St." (1947) out! If you remember, there was a fiasco about NOT including the COLORIZED version of the film, and it said it had that version on the packaging. Well the new pakaging has removed the colorized reference. So it's B&W only, and the new package says B&W with NO reference to a colorized version. FYI, the UPC's of the newer corrected packaging are cream color, the old UPC's are white, BOTH have the same UPC code though. B&W is the only true version of this classic IMO!

Nice to see the older packaging is getting fazed out elsewhere, slowly but surely!

I agree. The Black & White is the only way to go. No color on this movie for me thank you.

Hello,

Thought I'd pick this up at 48% off list price at amazon.com recently. Well, as of February 17, 2011 Amazon is still shipping the old version artwork (white UPC) that references "in an all-new, colorized Blu-ray version".

Oh well, I'm gonna ask them to send me a corrected artwork version replacement...

I agree. I feel the same way about the original Night of the Living Dead. It angers me that they colorized that movie!

No slipcover but it did come in a slipbox as a 2-pack with A Christmas Carol.

Hmm, that might be why Amazon is suddenly marking down this version. Will have to see how that one turns out.

Cover has both English and French... 65th anniversary release, I'm betting just a repackage.

What happened to me today is ridiculous!! Ive ordered this 2 pack a few days ago on Amazon.Canada. It arrived this morning, I opened it and was shocked!! Instead of the 2 pack having 1947 Miracle, it has the 1994 version. I sent an e mail to them about this.

I don't think it does. But there is a coupon for this floating around that you could use at Best Buy and get it for $6.99
