Default What Blu-ray misconceptions have you corrected?

today a friend of mine at work came and was talking to me about his upgrade to xbox elite. he said he was going to buy the hd-dvd add on in a few weeks. his reason was that, and I quote ''hd-dvd has disney exclusively, and they have a lot of movies we (he and his wife) want to get''. after I picked my jaw up off the floor I calmly informed him that disney was in fact blu-ray exclusive. as is fox and sony pictures. soooooo he decided to hold off on throwing his money away. I couldn't convince him to return or cancel his order for the xbox elite. but he won't be buying any hd dvds or the add on player.

has anyone else had these moments of helping friends and strangers with their consumer confusion?

I have more but I thought this one was pretty funny.
