Default Image seems to shift/slide

I'm having an interesting thing happen with my Samsung PN50B650. The image seems to shift/slide down and to the right. This causes a semi-thin black bar at the top and left of the image.

This happens in 16x9 mode, though I haven't tested in other modes. It happens with both digital cable and Blu-ray/DVD viewing. It doesn't happen all the time, and it isn't limited to specific channels and/or Blus/DVDs.

I can fix the anamoly by changing the picture size, rotating it all the way back to 16x9.

I had someone come out to take a look at it and he said it's normal and it's just image/source scanning. Thing is, I've never had this happen before, and am suspecting something happened to my TV during a recent move.

Anyone know what's going on, or any suggestions?

The Screen Protection feature in the picture options is set to automatically move the picture 2 pixels horizontally and 4 pixels vertically every 2 minutes when using 16:9 mode (which has slight overscan). This is to help deter image retention and burn-in, and is normal. You can turn the feature off if you'd like (not recommended), or change the picture to screen fit which will also disable this feature.

This isn't the issue, as it was the first thing I checked. Turned out to be a faulty HDMI cable.
