Default jagged line split image newbie problem

Firstly I would like to apologise, I have just signed up to the site and am unable to start anew thread, this seemed like the best place to start as it was just guys saying hello.

Hello 

Anyways, i having a few troubles with my set up, knowing little about all this I seek you advice and help.

I have an LG TV which displays 1080p,
An Xbox 360 connected to the back via a £10 HDMI cable from Amazon.

I have recently gotten the song Bds560 blue ray player.

Now for some of my games during the cut scenes and fast paced moments lines appear horizontally and seem to jars the image.
I’m terrible at descriptions but pleaser find attached a beautiful depiction of what i talking about.

I have had a mess with the Xbox systems settings but an unable to solve this jarring problem; can any of you help me at all?

Also given that my TV only has 2 HDMI intuits (one being always taken up by the sky HD and the Xbox) given that I now have the blue ray player is there a kind of box where I can plug both HDMI cables (from blue ray & Xbox) which would result in only one cable coming out going into the TV? One which wont determinate the picture sound quality at all?

ALSO what would the best cable be (tat isn’t one of the monster cables) for connecting my blue ray?

Many thank you and again sorry for taking over but in unable to start my own thread.

Kindest Regards and Happy Holidays.

Welcome and merry Christmas to you. I do not own an Xbox, but the lines sound like an HDMI issue, either in one of the ports or in the HDMI cable itself. Try connecting the Xbox in a different manner to see if the lines go away. If they do, obviously it is somewhere in the HDMI where your problem lies.

The best solution for turning multiple HDMI inputs to one output is getting a new receiver. Almost all of them now accept multiple HDMI inputs. My Onkyo 707 has six different HDMI inputs. If a new receiver is not in the budget, you can buy a separate HDMI switcher, like the product found here:

http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2

Almost all HDMI cables work the same, so do not overpay for them. More advice can be found in other subforums on this site.

Thanks for the advice, will try switching around see if this stops the jarring or see of the connection at the back requires fixing maybe?

Thanks for the heads up on the receiver thing, 
