Breaking Bad: The Complete Second Season Blu-ray

Breaking Bad: The Complete Third Season Blu-ray Review

Breaking Bad: The Complete Fourth Season Blu-ray June 5, '12 pre-order

The Breaking Bad Blu-ray of season two will be released on March 9, 2010. This is a really different, yet classic show. I hope season one is also released later. This and Mad Men are AMC's outstanding original shows.

This is great news it's just too bad that we have to wait so long.

Easily the best show on TV right now, and up there with the best series ever made.

Absolutely awesome show. I already have the first season on DVD but will upgrade to BD for sure when I grab season two on BD. One of the best shows of the last decade.

that's a bold statement with great shows such as Mad Men, Dexter, and Lost. Do you watch those shows by chance? Just curious what else you watch. Not saying you're right or wrong, I totally respect everyone's opinion, that's a BOLD statement is all! hehe

Maybe you should watch more than one episode first. Breaking Bad made a lot of best of the decade lists, so I don't think that was a bold statement. The first season was awesome already, but especially season two was phenomenal all around, which is why I think Breaking Bad and Mad Men are by far the best shows on tv at the moment.
As for Dexter, the last two seasons have been really weak, don't think it's a great show at all anymore. But that's just my opinion.

I also share your opinion, (got chewed up on other forums for criticizing dexter)

so many powerful scenes in just 2 seasons. at times it feels like you're watching a movie (with those long wide shots in the desert for an example) and the back to back emmy's for cranston is just athe cherry on top

there's an official insider podcast on itunes that explains alot of the behind the scenes stuff which is pretty cool

Definitely, the cinematography is just spectacular. Read a review once that said if the Coen brothers decided to do TV, this is what it would look like.

Hehe, I've been listening to that podcast as well. Really interesting stuff. Hope they'll do this for season 3 as well.

season 1 - 7 episodes (346 minutes) - $31.49 = $4.50/episode (average of 49.4 minutes/episode)
season 2 - 13 episodes (615 minutes) - $30.99 = $2.38/episode (average of 47.3 minutes/episode)

I, too, would like a price drop!! I like to get a bit more bang for my buck. I usually get that with TV on DVD and/or Blu.....plus I've seen the whole series....thank you AMC on-demand through Comcast......No, I'm not sure I actually mean to be thanking Comcast....I usually wouldn't.

I don't find it to be bold at all. I think Dexter is a FUN show but not a particularly well written or believable one...it often surprises me how many people defend it up against substantially better shows of the past (Sopranos, Six Feet Under, the Wire) and present (Breaking Bad, Mad men, United States of Tara).

I love Dexter (its a guilty pleasure), but it so implausible and the dialogue is so cheesy and cringe worthy it makes it hard for me to put it at the top of the list.

I can't wait for this either. I personally think this is the best drama TV show EVER. I'm gonna trade in my season one DVD for the BR also.

Just a thought- Put together all the top shows from FX, AMC, and Showtime and that's how awesome HBO was. Only good show HBO has is Big Love....I know people are going to say True Blood but that doesn't hold a candle to Allan Ball's superior Six Feet Under.

Might have to rent this show. Always new that Bryan Cranston was better than Malcolm in the Middle.

It's a little steep but compared to other TV shows it's not bad. Normally I would wait a little while but this is a must have for me.

This is TOO funny....to me anyway.

I saw this topic, jumped onto Amazon to check the prices....was displeased to find season 1 being sold for the same price as 2, since the episode count is about half....

But look, I've already whined about that. Silly me....figured the numbers again and everything

season 1: $4.43/episode
season 2: $2.38/episode
