just get another set of Klipsch Synergy III for the back, but your missing a center speaker & a sub. Don't mix up brands, keep with Klipsch (good brand), subs it doesn't matter if it is a diffrent brand. You mix up speaker brands you have to check to make sure the frequencies match & that they have the same Ohms.

Your missing out on a lot with out having a center speaker!!!!!!!!!!

Your probably missing the most without the center channel. But I would agree with the guy above, since you should build keep with the Klipsch so all your speakers match tonally. Ignore my setup, I just have not gotten around to upgrading my rears as they will be a bit expensive and I have a condo I need to furnish first.

I haven't heard Paradigm speakers myself but I have heard from a few people they are great speakers. In almost every review I have read they say somthing to the effect that the Price: Performance ratio is largely in the consumers favor. I am all for that.

Exactly! Dont mix up the brands. Keep the center, fronts and surround the same and I always match up the tweeters.

You dont have to match up the sub. Rel makes great subs IMO.

I would recommend Klipsch speakers even if you didn't already have some. If you do not want or do not have room for large surrounds, Klipsch also makes some very nice bookshelf speakers. Stick with Klipsch though as others have said. Mixing brands is a hard thing to do and have it sound right.

im going to get the entire set (gonna hold off on the 2 rears for now so ill just have 5.1)

klipsch - 10" 420w powered subwoofer $359.99

klipsch - Synergy III 6-1/2" way center channel speaker $296.99

klipsch - Synergy III 6-1/2" way bookshelf speakers (pair) $296.98
(will be using these as the side speakers)

btw these are bestbuy prices I need to go there since I had to return something there and they gave me credit which is alot so I dont want to spend more cash somewhere else.

Question: will the bookshelfs work well as the surround side speakers?

I got my Klipsch Quintet II 5 speaker set back in August and I must say I love their sound. You could get that on Ebay and with your existing 2 floor speakers plus a separate subwoofer and you'd basically have a 7.1 setup.

Here is an Ebay link for the Quintet II plus the KSW-10 subwoofer for $599.99 and free shipping (it's very heavy) which is a great deal. And it is a reliable seller. I've purchased from him before.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Klipsch-Quintet-...QQcmdZViewItem

These Quintet speakers are excellent as surround speakers.
