Default Does Panasonic's new anti-glare screens really work?

I had completely ruled out plasmas due to their huge problem with glare, but I've noticed several new Panasonic models feature an anti-glare screen. Just wondering if that really works or if it is just something they say....anyone know??

thanks

its better.. but still not near as good as a good lcd.

With a regular plasma the reflection is always theer like a part of the picture.

with the anti glare its a lil blurred and u notice it less unless u really look for it

Hey, I bought the Panasonic TH-42PX75U about a month ago... it does not have the anti glare coating, the 77u did. It was much cheaper so i went with the 75u.... Glare is non existant. My brother in law bought the TH-50PZ700U... that has the anti glare coating... he was also skeptical about buying a plasma due to the glare, but i convinced him to and he is blown away by the tv. He has it in a large room with a window and sliding glass doors... he couldnt be happier. go with the panasonic, it outperforms nearly everything.

Oh and also, i bought my 42" panasonic from frys for 999. how can you beat that. i think lcd's are very overpriced, and what would you rather have.... worst case... minimal glare or blurred motion from an lcd. its a trade off but you can always control the light in the room.

Nick,

Do you feel the anti-glare coating makes a big difference in reducing the glare? A relative has a Panny thats a year old in a room with 3 windows and the glare drives me nuts so I want to make sure glare will be extremely minimal if I make this purchase.

thanks
