Right now for me its either Baterds, D9 or The Hurt Locker, but I will reserve my vote until I watch Invictus and Up in the Air.
I have no interest in Precious or An Education.

I would say Inglourious Basterds out of the ones I've seen. I haven't seen Precious, Up in the Air, or Invicitus though.

Up in the Air was amazing but I gave The Hurt Locker a slight edge. Both are extremely relevant to the times we are in.

You liked Hurt Locker more than Basterds? I guess I'm the only one who wasn't blown away by that movie.

I love the Hurt Locker and Inglorious Basterds but as of right now Up in the Air is my first choice. I have not seen Precious, Invictus or The Education. Going to watch Invictus tonight.

While it's probably a great film, and my wife loved it, I refuse to watch precious because I don't like the subject matter.

Out of the ones I have seen the only two that do not in anyway shape or form belong on a Best Picture list are Star Trek and Avatar (IMHO) I wish Moon would have been nominated.

The Hurt Locker was the most powerful movie I've seen in a few years. I absolutely loved it and do think it is the best picture of 2009.

Inglourious Basterds had the best acting, but I think Avatar will win. It is an incredible film. Will watch The Hurt Locker on Tuesday, and I haven't seen An Education.

I've seen:

Avatar
Basterds
D9
Star Trek
Up

Except for D9, I thought all were excellent films, though not of the "Best Picture" quality. Avatar should win much of the technical awards, Up for animation and Pitt should win something for his performance in Basterds.
