how many of you live in apartments? just curious as to if u got surround in an apt or not..

I do and I have surround sound. My neighbor is really cool and doesn't complain about my sound, and I don't complain about his dog barking. But I'm not really sure it causes too much noise because my living room isn't directly above him.

I got a 5.1 setup in my apartment. I dont crank up too high after 11 on weekdays but have never had any complaints.

Nope. But when I was in school I did, and had surround sound set up. My downstairs neighbor didn't seem to like when I had a bunch of people over playing Rock Band. Or at least I assumed that's what them banging on their ceiling meant.

I live in an apartment and on my days off I like to crank it up. So far the cops have only been at my door once.

Nope, but when I last lived in an apartment, I had a 2-bedroom "Garden" apartment and had a foosball table in one bedroom, and a simple 5.1 in the "living area" that was open to the kitchen etc..... Never had a complaint (at least not about that stuff)

When Ilived in one I had 5.1 but the guys upstairs were dj's so we didn't complain about each other.

I dont normally watch movies on weekedays. I do play mw2 but I keep it relatively moderate.

Um, yea when neighbors have kids , some ppl work early, Yea, I am considerate in that sense.. Goes with the territory when you live in a nice place I guess.. If you were my neighbor and I worked at 4 am and you were blaring you music at 11 on a wednesday night, you wouldn't have any speakers to blast the next night

I'm in a small apartment and never had any complaints. It probably helps that my downstairs neighbor is a non-working middleage pothead though.

Since I don't call the cops on him I guess he sees no need to complain about my surround sound. Works for me

Im in a townhouse and my neighbours make music for a living....yea...seriously. They can be super duper loud at times, the main thing is the bass...I could live with the music...but the bass just pounds over and over...and over. I've talked to them and they are cool but need constant reminding. If I could I'd reinsulate the whole place with sound proof insulation.

I have a full setup myself and neither of my neighbours have ever heard as I've asked before. I keep my bass at -6 or -7 and it still outputs really well. I think most people who have 5.1 think the bass always needs to be cranked super high. Just my opinion of course.
