Default PS3 optimal set-up?

I am looking for some help.....I have a 42" Plasma hooked up to a PS3 with HDMI. Whith all the PCM and Superwhite options that the PS3 has, could someone tell me the optimal settings for the PS3 for the best picture quality? Im really not dumn...lol but I have never been into this new High Def stuff. My TV has 4 picture settings of user (make it how I want) Cinema (to Dark) Standard (best for TV channels in HD-IMO) and now I forget the last one of the top of my head but the bright colors seem to stand out to much like a haze around things.

You have to calibrate your set. There is no "best settings" because every set and environment is different

Pre-order Digital Video Essentials, and in the meantime use the THX optimode on any THX cert DVD for a base calibration

For the PS3 side of the calibration, the best bet is:

1. Set your colorspace to RGB Limited
2. Turn Superwhite on

What your looking for is the ability to pass blacker-than-black levels. For a more complete guide checkout the PS3 subforum at AVSforums.

I spent a long time last night re-re-re-calibrating my TV, and using PS3 with HDMI I found I got the best results with y/pr/br and superwhite on. The other settings totally threw off my calibration DVD.

I thought I would mention that the GetGray calibration dvd is very good, and cheaper than others. They mail you color filters, but you download the disc and burn it yourself. It's designed specifically for digital displays.
