So cold my amp won't kick on! - Blu-ray Forum

It's been so cold these past couple of weeks that most mornings my amplifier won't come on until about 15 minutes into my drive. The amp is mounted inside the rear passenger panel of a coupe. I haven't had any issues with the sub amp that is located in the interior of the vehicle.

Anyone else having problems with the cold and their sound systems?

I live in northern MN, Ive had -40 AIR temps for a week straight and my amp ( which is in the trunk, just as cold ) still turned on..

I live near Cleveland and the temp was 11F the other day and mine worked fine as well..

I'm in Virginia, and my amps work just fine.

...although, when driving my wifes car when its cold outside, when you use the right turn signal the high beams activate! ...really pisses me off.

Might be a battery/wiring problem or something to that effect.
