Need a kick a$$ subwoofer, HELP! - Blu-ray Forum

Looking to upgrade! I want to be able to hear king kong from a block away!

BUT, I don't want to spend more than $1000.00 , so thats the limit. Looking at maybe 1 or 2 of the 12" Velodyne subs 650watts each from Best Buy possibly...

$600.00 from Circuit City, nothing too spectacular. But its got the goodies that I wanted at the time, but now its time to upgrade already(Less than a month)

I'm going to stick with the 7 speakers it came with and upgrade the sub and then upgrade to the new Onkyo receiver that comes out later this month, the 805 series because my receiver lacks TrueHD

Nice.. I also need to do an update but don't wanna spend $1k on it. I want the true HD Surround sound to go with my true HD Quality movies.

I have the 12inch 650 watt Klipsch sub they sell at Best Buy that I'll sell for $375 plus shipping (Had it for 3 months....upgrading my whole system...works really well and loud). I also have a Harmon Kardon AVR-347 and Klipsch Synergy 3 series surround sound for sale if anyone is interested.

Yeah, I was listening to those subs last weekend actually, considering those too, and only $375, thats nice! Perhaps 2 of them would sound better than the one I heard by itself

Wouldn't you need a seperate amp for that?

No, it uses an internal amplifier 1000 W continuous with a rated power consumption of 150 W.
By the way, it won EISA Award for Home Theater Subwoofer 2003/2004....

Yea....if you turn up the settings...it can be quite loud. Especially in a enclosed room. Best Buy's setup doesn't come close to demonstrating how loud the sub is. I'm considering a 2sub setup myself....let me know if you are interested in the one I have.

I would recommend considering a SVS or HTF sub. They are amazing! A few reviewers use them.
