Australia Australia - Die Hard 4 Uncut BD on EZYDVD for 12 December ?

Hi guys,
I'm not sure if i missed an announcement but i just noticed on the EZYDVD website they have Die Hard 4.0 Uncut Version. Available on the 12 December. Available for pre-order now. It does not seem like a mistake as it specifically mentions UNCUT in the title. What do you guys think?

Cool. Will Region B work in Region A players, though?

Quite the opposite. They have almost exclusively released region free discs in Europe and Australia lately. It's only in USA they are stubborn to region code discs.

There are other threads on this. It is almost certainly, without a doubt a typo for the previous reasons cited- There is simply not enough time to compress the video and get it replicated

This indeed looks like a bluray version, but how come Aussies are getting it and US isn't. I thought Fox couldnt release the UNCUT version in time due to the LACK of time need to do the HD transfer since the director didnt start on it soon enough. So How is Australia getting the UnCut version is there is no planned HD transfer for it for a 2007 release?

If it is indeed the unrated version, I will buy it for what it will cost which is about $35 US plus shipping, could easily be about $45-$50. but it will be worth it for me, as long as it has the same AQ/PQ and special features as the PG-13 bundled version. I will buy the Quad set and then get the Unrated cut, I can keep both or just end up selling the PG-13 version when I verify that the Unrated verion is PERFECT!

I have heard that the version which is released on 29th Oct in UK was supposed to be the Unrated version, but sadly nobody can really confirm this, so i guess i'll just have to wait

Hmmm....the Die Hard box set is 90.00 on Amazon, and the 3 of them seperatly(if you wait for the 4th un cut) will come to about 90 (27.95USD each +shipping) so I think I will still pick up the box set and just sell the cut version when the uncut one is released, as I essentially get one for free based on Amazons prices.

Also, does anyone know if the Australian version of Face/Off is uncut compared to the UK version?

According to the Australian ratings board, there is going to be a Theatrical and Extended edition. So the blu-ray version must be an Extended Version.

Why? There will be two versions on DVD in USA also but only the rated is coming to Blu-ray.

Fox first announced that it would be the unrated version that would be on Blu-ray but later changed it to the rated. I guess it's a miss-print but I'm not sure. I don't think the Japanese version will be the unrated either. The unrated version will probably be released next year.

UK's BD from FOX. I never seen a single one of them region free. I am going to check, though. I have FOX BD (Eragon) with region B. It might be stated as region B, but might work in Region A as well (like US bridge to terabithia). Remember - I am dual-region (a and b), so no matter what, I can enjoy both

I was aware of those threads. but maybe the extra 22 days was enough to get it encoded and replicated for our small market here in Australia.

It's not.

That's simply not how they operate. They do one encode for everyone and everywhere, especially when the same studio is involved.

The unrated was not finished until late July, long after the entire disc was locked.

DVDs can be rushjobbed at this point. There simply aren't enough facilities, and encoding takes so much more time and effort for that to happen at this point combiend with the Christmas crunch
