There are other threads on this. It is almost certainly, without a doubt a typo for the previous reasons cited- There is simply not enough time to compress the video and get it replicated

I was aware of those threads. but maybe the extra 22 days was enough to get it encoded and replicated for our small market here in Australia.

It's not.

That's simply not how they operate. They do one encode for everyone and everywhere, especially when the same studio is involved.

The unrated was not finished until late July, long after the entire disc was locked.

DVDs can be rushjobbed at this point. There simply aren't enough facilities, and encoding takes so much more time and effort for that to happen at this point combiend with the Christmas crunch

Did we ever get the uncut release of this? A listing in the database suggest we did, but it might just be an erroneous listing.

To my knowledge they've all been censored.

We've only had one release on Blu-ray - just the stock standard one. 2 DVD releases though with the uncut version - the original single disc release and the 2-disc definitive edition.

Wouldn't be surprised if Fox might release the uncut version to coincide with A Good Day to Die Hard's Blu-ray release. We've had a few box sets already so an uncut #4 and maybe remasters of the others would be the selling points for future releases.

Uncut is probably on DVD only with the Blu set, as in some european countries. You can download legally thought the HD 1080p uncut version on Vudu or iTunes.
