May I ask why Tuesday? Is Tuesday the only day in the week they get new stocks in?

Often its Monday the UK gets new stocks in.

‘Surrogates’ is not out in the UK until Monday 1st February £15.99 only week and bit to go. Looks like its worth buying.

Only thing is the running time. It’s the average running time of Disney film 1hour 28minutes. Knowing it’s a (Jonathan Mostow) film, I expect this is going to fast paced action like that of ‘U-571’ ‘Breakdown’ ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines’.

New movie and music usually come out on Tuesdays in the US

Movie come out in the theaters on Wednesdays and Fridays, again usually.

....and when I get up later, I'm getting Saw 6 and I cannot wait to watch it again!

I see that’s how it works over there. I don’t recall getting new releases on Friday over here just Monday’s?

What special offers knocked down prices or buy two blurays for $20.00 dollars?

I've been ordering myself into the poor house through Amazon and Half/ebay lately. Been awhile since I've actually gone and bought new releases at a store (with the exception of Hurt Locker which I couldn't wait for). But I'm going to make an exception this week and hit up Wally World (possibly Best Buy).

Saw VI and Surrogates are musts for me, with Toolbox Murders and This Is It as possibilities as well. But, of course, the number one buy of the week would have to be Alone in the Dark II. Alright, maybe not on that last one.

I haven't bought a new release movie since The Hangover on December 15, nothing has interested me. I did buy Chuck season 2 in early January but there hasn't been any movies I've really wanted.

It's so Hollywood doesn't fight themselves with their own releases.

Example:

When Avatar eventually hits Blu-Ray/DVD, do you think that whatever Sci-fi movie that's in theaters would take a massive hit if Avatar was $19.99 and released on a Friday?

If they release it on a Tuesday, then people will bring it home and usually watch it in a couple of days, if it's released on a Friday, they might watch it that night or maybe Saturday and that'll hack into the theater revenues.

Either that, or because Gozer told them to do it.
