Vanquish: Bayonetta Dev Unveils new game

A video teaser of a new game coming from a Bayonetta Dev has been released. The game will be called "Vanquish". No platform has been announced but it is being assumed that it will come to consoles.

Bayonetta and MadWorld developer PlatinumGames has released a teaser trailer announcing 'Vanquish,' a new game directed by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami.

The snazzy trailer by LOGAN--creator of the intro sequences for Metal Gear Solid 4 and Zombieland--shows a chap in an "Augmented Reaction Suit" engaged in combat with power armoured and robotic foes in the wake of a high-tech attack on the USA.

This is the first look at what Mikami has been working on since PlatinumGames was founded as 'Seeds' in 2007 by veterans of God Hand and Okami developer Clover.

Vanquish will be published by Sega--the last of the four-game deal Platinum signed with the publisher back in 2008. Neither a release date nor platforms were announced, though given Platinum's track record it's highly likely Vanquish will be a console title.

Hopefully they develop this on the PS3 first so we don't get another Bayonetta fiasco.

I totally agree...I may be picking up Bayonetta this weekend now that the install patch was recently released!

Sega leaks confidential minutes from meeting with SCE

Vanquish and Aliens: CM
Opportunity for PS3/PSP interoperability (see Eidos Batman, Army of Two, Assassin’s Creed for good examples).
If we offer that SCEA would be really interested in having us at their booth next E3.

I think the notes may have mixed the ideas of PSP interop. and exclusive content/DLC (Batman) together there.

In any case, it's a safe bet that Vanquish will be coming to PS3, if discussion was on the table about PSP interoperability. Good catch Shin-Ra!
