Default Home Shopping network lies to their customers

Ok, so this morning I woke up and was being really lazy. I'm channel surfing and I happen to come to the home Shop NBC. They are selling a 47" Toshiba TV with a HD DVD Player for $2000.

I'm complaining to my fience about how this is a desperate attempt for sales by Toshiba when I notice that in the background they are showing CARS and the Incredibles!!!!! Which means that they are showing a standard DVD selling HD DVD and are misleading their customers.

How funny is that.

I like watching the knife salesmen. those guys are completely crazy.

I think my parents got me a few autographed comic books off there when I was a kid.

Sometimes the deals on sports memoribilia are pretty good. I bought a regulation Colts football helmet autographed by Peyton Manning on there right after the Super Bowl last year.

Along the same route, I was at Best Buy today and they had a Blu Ray player set up with a Sony 52" TV and a decent stereo system. Anyway, they had Transformers playing in it.

Talk about mis-leading

You may call it misleading but the Best Buy / Magnolia where my b/f works had Transformers playing in they showroom on a Pioneer Blu-Ray player and in no way was anyone told that it was a Blu-Ray movie. Instead it was done to demonstrate that the Blu players do an incredible job of upconverting. Bottom line it convinces people that buying an HD DVD movie just to watch Transformers is not a wise move but that they can still watch it and not sacrifice losing all those titles exclusive to Blu

Jeez, that show is still going now.

The sales guy just said "Do you need a Toshiba HD-DVD player today? No. But three or four years from now you will." and "You will never have to upgrade your tv again; You will never have to upgrade your Toshiba high definition dvd player." Don't you just love people who have no idea about the products they sell?

Okay... he just said if you love movies like Pirates or Spiderman you can't afford not to have an HD-DVD palyer. I have to turn that crap off.
