Default Tiebreaker!! Full Metal Jacket vs. Goodfellas vs. Se7en??

We have a 3-way tie for the last spot of the drama/war/crime categories! Since all 3 of these films garnered 28 votes each for 9th place I will do this poll for 1 day and the winner will advance and collect the last spot for this category. Reply's will not count only votes in the poll! The slate is clean and right now its zero to zero to zero!

This is what I will do with tiebreakers from now on to make it fair and give others time to log on. I wont do it for more than a day though. Vote again based on whichever u feel should advance and take the last spot. Not a best of or favorites necessarily but judge each based on overall take on the film or what works best for u. Here we go! Got Em!!

Goodfellas easily. Full Metal Jacket is really two movies, as Ebert points out, that are very good individually but not really together. Fight Club is one of the most overrated films of all-time.

Tough choice, but oh well. There's not much that made the cut in this group that can really be argued.... but I wish this is why we had less super hero movies, because there are so many good ones in this category.

haha sorrry I was talking to m friend on the phone about Fight Club as I was typing that! I meant Seven, although I think Fight Club is even more overrated. Fincher is a very overrated director in general.

Agreed. There were innumerable great films in this category, many of which have a chance of winning I think, but some of the other categories are weak.

I just think Seven is a very mediocre film that's gotten more credit than it deserves due to its ending and the fact that it's a Fincher film. I feel like almost every Fincher film has gotten much more credit from a fan perspective than it deserves.

I think if there's one saving grace for Seven, it's that Kevin Spacey was perfectly cast.

I'll agree with you that Fincher is overrated.

Even with that bit, I voted for Se7en. One of my favorites from the 90's. Goodfellas was close behind but I've never enjoyed it as much as other people.

Se7en over Goodfellas - Full Metal Jacket is Kubricks' weakest film IMO (the first 20 mins is good though)

This really was a hard match.Torn between se7en and goodfellas. And full metal jacket being-IMO-the best warmovie ever made, says something about the competition here.Had to go for se7en since it ranks way up in the upper part of my top 5 movies ever.

You really should have spread those out with other kandidates. It's like the favourite teams meet each other not in the final, but in the preliminaries

Just curious:You think Fincher is overrated, but made a movie which beat goodfellas in your opinion?

Anyone who has lived up to your expectations in the history of cinema?

But seriously:Fincher has made two absolute classic movies-se7en and fightclub, and his 'The game' is also a gem.Don't get how anyone can call him overrated.Granted:his form has dropped lately, but I'm hoping for a comeback
