Default Full Metal Jacket PCM and no PCM

The Deluxe edition has PCM 5.1, the regular white box art work is only 5.1. Just to let any potential buyers of this title be aware of this before purchase.

Yeah, I was surprised to learn that that the new Kubrick Blu-Rays all have PCM, I thought they were going to have TrueHD like the HD-DUD versions.

Definitely a good thing to have PCM since Warner applies dialog normalization to their TrueHD encodes.

I HATE DialNorm. But yeah, another thing people should know is that the new FMJ has a new 1080p transfer, while the white-cover version has a "bobbed" 1080i transfer.

Yea, it's interesting for me to watch because I went through both Boot Camp and OCS with the Marine Corps. I am a glutton for punishment I suppose.

Still, it was a lot of fun and it's really damn accurate for a movie. Although they sit on their footlockers in the movie and we were never allowed to sit on either our racks or our footlockers in either Boot or OCS.

Not to mention there was never a sweet of any kind such as the Jelly doughnut. Still for a movie, it's very very accurate otherwise. The only other difference is they mention it being 8 wks, Boot was 12 wks. OCS and TBS (The basic school) were MUCH longer.
