Default jlafrenz's Setups

Well I finally got around to taking some new pics of my various setups. There are multiple galleries for your viewing pleasure. I still have some more that I need to add to the DIY section once I locate those pics so check back.

Main system is the gear in my signature

https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...ember=jlafrenz

2 Channel Room
Aurum Cantus Monitor 1's
Jolida FX10
HTPC
Jolida DAC
Music Hall 5 (Coming soon, work in progress)
Vincent Phono Stage
TNT Stuffy stands
Panamax 5100

https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...&folderid=3440

Insignia Bookshelfs with dampened/reinforced cabinets
AV123 ELT LRS
I have been switching back and fourth between the two speakers.

If I ever quit being lazy and wire manage the bedroom, I will add a gallery and pics for that.

Let me know what you think of everything!

Very clean and impressive setups. How'd you make that diy sub riser? That's pretty impressive looking. Are those white acoustic panels diy also? Rated your galleries also

I have somewhat of a description of how I built my sub riser on page 57 of the Subwoofer Riser thread. Basically just finished the edges of the granite with a few coats of polyurethane and used hockey pucks as feet to get it off the ground. There is poster tack between the subs and granite. It keeps the subs off the granite and holds them in place really well.

My panels are tan in color. They are just about the same color of the paint so they kind of blend in.

Unbelieveable.

One of the Finest Systems,I have ever seen.
Exceptional in every Piece,Speaker,Sub,Component,And Accessory.

A system I would Truly Dream of Owning One Day.
Excellent Choice in Speakers and Subs. And Also in the Componets.

The Amps and sources are far beyond anything I would and could ever imagine.

That is the type of system to Draw Inspiration and Motivation From.
I just have to Say Excellent Job.
I will also say that Any Source played on that system must sound heavenly.

Thanks Sincerely for Sharing your Passion with us
.

Then the 2-Channel System is as impressive as they Come.
An Excellent Tube Set-Up with great speakers featuring exceptional performance with the Non-Dome tweeter.

Looks similar to a Ribbon and Mylar sheet crossed with an Electrostatic.
Its A Beautiful System with Beautiful Speaker Cables,as well.

With everything together;Including the Awesome DIY touches(like the Acoustic Panes and Granite Sub Platform for Dampening and Isolation)Even the Ausio Racks with the Video stand is Breathtaking.

Love the Use of the Emotiva Gear and Monitor Audio Speakers.

Shame the ratings stop at 10.Because you deserve a 15 at the lowest.
Truly Inspirational.

Great job man! Your DIY stuff is insane! You have given me so many ideas. I especially like the fans set up. That is the cheapest alternative to system cooling I've seen so far. Your main system is not too shabby either! Ever think about getting a pj for that room?

I have thought about a projector, but the way the room is set up I don't think it would work to well. The back wall is actually open just above the acoustic panels so there isn't a great place to mount one. Also, the ceiling is vaulted and then opens into that spot above the couch. There isn't really a good way to run the wires. Someday in another house I will have a dedicated theater with a projector

Great setups man! I really love your 2 channel rack. May I ask where you got that from? I'm getting my TT sometime this month and have been looking everywhere for a nice audio rack.

Thanks. I actually picked up the rack in the 2 channel room from Craigslist for $20 and spray painted it with some textured paint. My original goal was to fill the hollow legs with some sand to make it heavier and more dense, but there was no real way to keep it in once I actually purchased and saw how the stand was constructed.

Just an impressive setup Judd. Too bad you didn't live closer for the GTG. I would love to see it in person.
