what? its still high definition, it still has the same amount of detail. the only thing old school about the look of the film is the contrast and the colors. of course it still looks better than the dvd. the pq on the blu-ray is awesome.

I rented the DVD from Redbox and it looks pretty good.

Thanks.

It's just that after seeing More than a Game the other day on DVD (wasn't released on blu), I'm thinking of buying more DVDs for those movies where PQ isn't a huge factor for me.

Oh no, I definitely haven't made up my mind yet. I just have to pay ol' Uncle Sam quite a bit of money, family members' birthdays are coming frequently this month...just trying to save a little money where I can.

If the DVD looks very close to the blu in terms of PQ, then I will save quite a bit of money.

Default Black Dynamite - A must seen film!

I've seen it mentioned in other threads and heard from my brother about Black Dynamite.
I have yet to see a thread soley about this film so I thought to start one.
This movie is absolutely awesome and I feel it is soon to be considered a cult classic.
Your thoughts? If you haven't seen it yet go rent it or just blind buy it like I did, you won't regret it!

Great movie, especially if you're a fan of the genre it pays homage to! I read there's a sequel in the works.

Black dynamyte is amazing, it's so full of quotable lines and it really hits the mark in terms of parady (hint to the meet the spartans guys - this is what a real parady looks like)

My favoritwe line was when he has the boomerang and it hits the guy and dynamyte jumps into frame and yells "I threw that S*** before I came in the room"

not sure if thats the exact line, but i gufflawed so loud in the theater when i saw that part
